In preparation for celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ …
… let’s ‘deck the halls’ WHC style!
Immediately after the service on November 20th, everyone is invited to decorate the church. Many hands make light work and the more the merrier. There will be Christmas music, pizza and just a whole lot of fun and laughter! The whole family can help out with tree fluffing, ornament hanging, bough primping and garland draping.
Please let Arlene know this Sunday at church (Nov 13) or ASAP if you plan on helping.
Grab an OCC shoebox at the church, fill them up with hygiene items, school supplies, toys, etc. and return the boxes to the church by November 20th. Check out the OCC table at the church or contact Karen Grieg for more information.
FACT: In a lot of feeding centers in developing countries, the child has to bring their own plate to eat off of… In some families, they only have one. Typically, the eldest boy will eat first, and then give the plate to the next child…. Often, this means that the girls will have to share a portion, or some children may go without because the feeding center runs out or the feeding ends before all the children have had a chance to make it through the line…. Consider packing reusable plastic dishes to help ensure that every child can eat.
